Part of a new body of abstract works on the subject of information overload and identity and how the first affects on the latter.
A big part of our energy is constantly used to put order from chaos and manage the information overload we are exposed on a daily basis. Infoxication is infecting our lives and our identity in ways never experienced before.
This series of collages wants to try to represent our daily struggle to make sense of chaos. Finding patterns, a form of identifiable order, we can see how the many disparate elements of a system work with each other to shape the whole, finally finding order in the chaos.
Paper from repurposed magazines' covers and recycled paper has been cut and folded into concertinas. The concertinas have been glued on a timber and cardboard frame also covered with paper.
Two hinged panels art piece. The artwork will arrive folded with all the necessary hardware to easily transform it into a 1 art piece ready to be hung.
